We restructured the bell schedule this year to give students and teachers more breathing room between classes (5 minutes), especially with our building expansion underway, to give our advisory/housegold events a real, predictable home on the calendar, and to schedule clubs more intentionally to protect and enhance advisory times. 

Here is what is changing:

• Monday and Friday: A 5-minute Advisory to start the day, then 45-minute classes.
• Tuesday: A modified 40-minute class schedule with built-in time for Advisory.
• Wednesday and Thursday: Our 90-minute Block Days. The first week of each month shifts to a special schedule for Mass and other school-wide programming, with 70-minute classes that day.
• School Day: Now wrapping up at 2:55 PM.

Arrival -  Both entrances are open for morning carpool; however, entering off of Shiloh Church Road will help traffic move along. All cars will exit on to 73. 

Please move all the way down the curb and avoid leaving gaps between cars and PLEASE watch for students crossing the road.

Dismissal -  Traffic flow for afternoon carpool is one way only. Enter from the Shiloh Church Road entrance and proceed to the front of school. The entrance to CTK at 73 will be closed to incoming traffic; all cars will exit onto 73 upon exiting the school.  

Please start the carpool line at the Mary statue in the front of the school (we need to leave space for the bus in front of the school). Please do not park in a parking lot to pick up your student.

To help move along car line, avoid leaving unnecessary empty space between cars.

If you will be switching drivers, please move to the end of the school building by the retaining wall to switch. There will be staff outside to assist and direct. Please proceed slowly for the safety and protection of our students! 

The school day begins at 7:45 am and ends at 2:55 pm. Students must be seated in their desks in the classroom when the bell rings at 7:45 am in order to be considered not tardy. 

In the event of inclement weather and school closures, we will transition to our off-campus asynchronous learning plan, allowing us to minimize disruptions to our students' education.

Here are the details:

✅ Asynchronous Learning Day – Students will complete assignments independently at home.
✅ Teacher Availability – Teachers will be accessible via email and Google Classroom during regular school hours for questions and support.
✅ Schedule Adjustments:

If a cancellation occurs on a Wednesday, we will follow a full A-H schedule on both Wednesday and Thursday (whether on or off campus).

If remote learning falls on a Thursday after an on-campus Wednesday block day, we will follow a normal Thursday block schedule.
✅ Attendance – No formal attendance will be taken.
✅ Video Meetings – If a teacher chooses to hold a virtual class session, it will only occur during the regularly scheduled class period.
✅ Assignments:

• Posted by 7:30 AM
• Submitted by 6:00 PM
• Aligned with the curriculum and meaningful to student learning
• Designed to take 30-45 minutes per subject (unless following the adjusted Thursday block schedule)
• Graded for completion or accuracy, as determined by the teacher

CTK Uniform Quick Guide

All students are required to wear Lands' End uniform tops and bottoms embroidered with the CTK logo. Outerwear can be purchased from the CTK Spirit Store. Required items must be purchased from Lands’ End or the CTK Spirit Store unless otherwise noted.

BOYS

• Lands' End Shirts: Rapid-Dry polo (Navy, White, Cobalt, Gray) with CTK logo – must be tucked in.

• Lands' End Bottoms: Rapid-Dry shorts or pants (modest length & fit) – belts required.

• CTK Spirit Store Outerwear: Only uniform-approved CTK outerwear with CTK logo.

• Mass Days: Long pants required.

GIRLS

• Lands' End Shirts: Rapid-Dry polo (Navy, White, Cobalt, Gray) with CTK logo – may be untucked but midriff must not show.

• Lands' End Bottoms: Navy Lands’ End skirt/skort (must reach top of knee), or approved pants.

• Tights: Solid black, navy, or gray only.

• Mass Days: Pants, skirt, or skort with polo or CTK outerwear.

PE Days

Any CTK spirit top with solid blue, black, or gray shorts of appropriate length.

Fridays

All students may wear approved CTK hoodies or outerwear. Seniors may wear college crewnecks or polos.

• Dresses may be strapless or include straps. A proper fit is important when it comes to dancing.

• 2-piece dresses must overlap at the waist. This means the top must overlap with the skirt or pants waistband. Midriffs must not be exposed.

• The length of your dress must not be higher than the mid-thigh.

• Dresses must not have a slit that exceeds the mid-thigh.

• Dresses may not be cut below the bust-line or mid-back.

• Undergarments should not be visible.

• See through apparel is not permitted.

Tuition Information

All students are required to purchase a parking pass in order to park on campus during the school day. Parking passes are $40 for an individual and $65 for a family pass. Seniors may choose to purchase a parking spot painting add-on pass for $25 if they would like to paint their spots. Passes must be purchased by Friday, August 14 and will be distributed in Advisory the first week of school. A parking pass check will take place Friday, August 21, and students without a displayed pass will receive a discipline referral. Purchase your pass using the new online payment form.

Due to ongoing construction, the 86 available spots in the Upper and Lower paved lots are reserved for Seniors who drive, on a first come, first served basis, until construction is complete. Juniors and Sophomores must park in the gravel lot, with some Juniors potentially able to move to the paved lot by late September.

Once Upper Lot construction is finished, there will be enough spots for all Seniors. We will hold a parking lottery, expected in October, followed by a painting day in early November.

At Christ the King Catholic High School, the safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. Once Safe Environment Certified, annual renewal training is required.
