Service

Service is an integral part of the formation curriculum at Christ the King. Our mission calls us to "serve others in the name of Christ the King."

Service is a hallmark of this effort. Each student is expected to complete 18 hours of service for each year they attend CTK. We arrived at this total of 18 hours by applying the scriptural exhortation that each believer tithe to God. This custom has traditionally been displayed by inviting a believer to give 10% of their produce (crops, livestock) to the Lord. It has typically been translated to monetary donations in today's society. Our students are not in a position to offer either of these, however, they are in a position to offer themselves. Since they attend school approximately 180 days per year, a tithe of that time would be 18 days. We are asking that each Crusader offer one hour of service to God for those 18 days.

Summer Mission Trip

Each summer, Christ the King offers a week-long domestic mission trip in partnership with Catholic Mission Trips, Inc.
Rooted in our Catholic faith and school mission to "believe sincerely, think critically, and serve others in the name of Christ the King," this experience invites students to encounter Christ through acts of mercy and service to those most in need.

Participants engage in meaningful work such as home repair, disaster relief, environmental cleanup, and relational ministry with families and communities.

Interested students are encouraged to apply—space is limited.
