Through the Lens of Christ our King: Celebrating our Graduates at Baccalaureate Mass

Last evening, the Class of 2026 gathered for one final Mass together as classmates at Baccalaureate, a tradition that is always one of the most meaningful moments of senior year.

Before diplomas are handed out and graduation celebrations begin, Baccalaureate offers students the opportunity to pause, reflect, pray, and give thanks together as a class one last time. It is a beautiful reminder that, beyond accomplishments, awards, and milestones, what makes CTK so special is the relationships formed and the faith shared throughout the journey. 

In his homily, Bishop Martin shared a powerful image from National Treasure, explaining that hidden treasure can only be discovered through a special set of lenses. He challenged graduates to remember that the true lens through which they must view themselves and the world is Jesus Christ. 

"Unless you see yourself and the world through the lens of Jesus Christ, you will never fully appreciate the treasure that you are and the treasure that this world is."

Bishop Martin encouraged students to look back on their CTK experience with gratitude for the people and opportunities that shaped them, while also moving forward with resolve to fully use the gifts God has given them. 

It was a beautiful evening filled with faith, reflection, gratitude, and the bittersweet joy of one final gathering together as the Class of 2026. 

Congratulations, seniors. We are proud of you and grateful for the legacy you leave behind at CTK.
