Crusader XC: Running with Faith, Grit, and Purpose

This season, our Cross Country teams reminded us that success isn't just measured by medals or finish times - but by perseverance, teamwork, and faith in action.

In an incredible display of dedication and unity, the CTK Women's Cross Country team captured the 2A NCHSAA Championship, scoring 84 points to secure the top spot (well ahead of second place with 116). Their victory was fueled by hard work, heart, and the bonds of friendship that make this team so special.

Congratulations to the runners: Shea Roche, Alexandra Carvelli, Maya Rametta, Maddie Matera, Bella Fani Srour, Brandi Malloy, Claire Oglesby, and Anna White, and coaches Jim Roche and Connor Malloy. 

Shea led the Crusaders with a 3rd place overall finish, while Anna White received the Sportsmanship Award, honoring her leadership, humility and grace. 

The Men's team also delivered a strong performance, finishing 4th overall in the state meet - a testament to their resilience, steady improvement, and commitment to running for something greater than themselves. 

Whether breaking bread together (literally, after the race) or crossing the finish line side by side, our Crusaders live out the school's mission to believe sincerely, think critically, and serve others in the name of Christ the King. 

Their season stands out as a powerful reminder that when faith, friendship, and perseverance come together, championships follow. 

Congratulations to our Cross Country athletes and coaches (and parents!) on a remarkable season of purpose, passion, and Crusader pride!
