Watt's Up?

Ever wonder how much energy it takes to spin a record or heat up a waffle?

Our Environmental Science students spent the day in the "Watt Lab," getting hands-on with energy consumption! They brought in everyday household items - everything from record players to curling irons to inflatables - to test exactly how many watts it takes to keep them running.

The best part? They put their data to the test today. Using the microwave and waffle iron they studied, the class cooked up a delicious breakfast of bacon and waffles.

Science hasn't tasted this good since the fudge lab!
