Mrs. Griffith's World History students wrapped up their Columbian Exchange projects with a delicious extra credit challenge, creating homemade dishes that featured ingredients exchanged between the Eastern and Western Hemispheres from 1459-1700.

From potatoes and tomatoes to cacao, cows, sugar, and more, students explored how a single crop could reshape economies, cultures, land systems, and even environments during this pivotal era. After researching origins, trade routes, impacts, and cultural adoption, they brought history to life in the tastiest way possible - by cooking!

Check out some of the incredible student-made dishes inspired by their assigned Columbian Exchange items!
